Appointed as primary network theatre in Turnénetværk Danmark

Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium (NTL) in Holstebro is proud to announce that we have been accepted as a primary network stage in Turnénetværk Danmark. This appointment is a recognition of our many years of work in creating and communicating performing arts of the highest quality to a wide audience both locally, nationally and internationally.

The purpose of the scheme
The purpose of the scheme is to ensure that smaller works reach the whole country on a sustainable tour. By participating, we commit to presenting at least four different works per season over the next three years. This will allow us to bring innovative, risk-taking and genre-expanding performing arts projects to our audience in Holstebro and the surrounding area.

Smaller works include productions that challenge traditional performing arts, present new aesthetic directions and explore new formats. These are works that dare to take artistic risks and push the boundaries of what performing arts can be.

What does this mean for Holstebro and NTL?
For Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium and Holstebro, this award means that we will play a central role in ensuring that unique and experimental works are presented to our audience. Holstebro Municipality has invested heavily in arts education and this development has created a rich environment for talent development and professional performing arts. This means that we can offer our citizens performing arts of international calibre without having to travel to major cities such as Copenhagen.

As a primary network theatre, we are part of a sustainable touring scheme that promotes cultural diversity and innovation. We look forward to showcasing works that will provoke reflection and excitement among both local and visiting theatre enthusiasts. Furthermore, we actively contribute to creating a rich exchange between different cultures and performing arts traditions. The scheme is supported and initiated by the Danish Arts Foundation.

We look forward to using our experience and unique location to contribute to the growth and development of the performing arts in Denmark. Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium will continue to work to bring works of high artistic quality to our audiences and strengthen Holstebro as a driving force for artistic innovation and development.
