Old Stories, New Voices – a Nordic performance project for young performing artists
Are you a performer / dancer / actor, and do you want to be part of an ambitious, joint Nordic project?
Old Stories, New Voices is an interdisciplinary performance project for young performing artists from Denmark, Greenland and Sweden. Together we examine Nordic myths, fairy tales and legends and give them new life.
We will work with questions such as:
What happens when old Nordic legends and myths are told by us, here and now?
What stories are missing from Nordic cultural heritage?
How can we give them shape through performance?
As a participant, you will gain experience with interdisciplinary and site-specific performance, become part of a strong Nordic network of young artists and have both time and space for artistic development and experimentation. The process culminates in a public showcase, where we perform our art.
We want to include many different voices, so if you want to rethink the stories of the North, work with physical expression and help create something together, then this is something for you!
