Residency for interdisciplinary projects
Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium (NTL) invites applications from artists for a three-week residency in 2025. This is part of the pilot project WEST HIVE, a network for interdisciplinary projects in music and performing arts.
The goal of the project is to create new opportunities for artists and producers by providing production facilities and valuable guidance from the team at NTL.
The residencies take place at:
Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium, Særkærparken 144, 7500 Holstebro, Denmark.
What does NTL offer?
Production facilities
Access to the facilities at the theatre, including:
- One of our three performance spaces
- A sound studio with equipment suited for interdisciplinary projects
- Large outdoor areas
Support from our team
Our dedicated NTL team are here to support you with feedback and guidance, including:
- Technical support (sound, lighting)
- Producers
- Dramaturg
- Communications consultant
- Administrative support
Other facilities
- Accommodation: Private or shared rooms
- Kitchen: Available for all participating artists and producers
- Showers: Shared showers are free to use
- Laundry: Washroom available
These resources help reduce your expenses and enhance the quality of your artistic project. With NTL's extensive experience, your project will have stronger momentum and potential to evolve within the performing arts.
Requirements
- Your project must be interdisciplinary
- Your residency must end before December 2025
Your application must include:
- Project description, including how the NTL team can support you
- A list of participants and their roles
- Artistic vision
- Practical information (required resources, special requirements, etc.)
- Desired residency period (total of three weeks, which can be split up into three separate one-week long stays)
PLEASE NOTE
- You will not receive a salary or other payment from NTL
- Applicants are responsible for their own food and transportation
