VS

NOTE: This is a showcase for work related to a residency and is thus not a complete performance.

VS is a physical and sensory performance inspired by the iconic American lingerie brand, Victoria's Secret.

Dancer/choreographer Anne Holmbo and artist/dramaturg Jamie Morton (PARA Productions) put on a cross-aesthetic performance with elements of dance, theatre, audio, and visual techniques.

VS explores what it actually means to be "sexy", while separating the idea of staged lust versus the actual sexual experience. The performance looks at how and when a body is turned into an object of desire, alongside the stories, fantasies, and structures that have shaped this gaze.

This showcase is part of WEST HIVE, which is a residency for cross-aesthetic projects, funded by the Danish Performing Arts Foundation.

The full premiere of VS will take place in August 2025 at Bådteatret in Copenhagen.
