This theatre concert about Vivaldi is the story of an artist whose fate bears witness to the changing whims of time and the fleeting glow of fame.
Vivaldi achieved star status in his time, the "Rock star" of the time almost on a par with David Bowie and Taylor Swift of our time. A huge star. But he ended his life penniless and forgotten. Vivaldi's music was stored for more than 250 years in attics and archives. Only at the beginning of the 20th century was the music rediscovered and revived.
On stage we meet the very enthusiastic actor, who, obsessed with Vivaldi's life, leads the audience into the streets and wild life of Venice with carnival masquerades and opera in 18th-century Venice.
Once again, Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium brings Vivaldi's music to life together with Ensemble MidtVest, well accompanied by actor Kai Bredholt.
Performance based on a concept by Anna Stigsgaard.
