The Village Academy has a clear mission: to give local citizens the opportunity to experience how art is created and grows, while giving artists the chance to explore new opportunities outside the major cities.
We believe that art has a special ability to create connections between people and communities. That's why we strive to initiate projects where art and creativity meet communities and enrich them in innovative ways. Inspired by the great work that actor Kai Bredholt and flamenco dancer Erika Sanchez have done in their West Jutland village, Idom, located outside Holstebro, we want to bring the same enthusiasm for art and creativity to other villages.
