- an intense journey of youth and conflict

In January, the Danish Talent Academy's musical theatre programme performs ‘The Classroom’, a unique and modern interpretation of Nigel Williams' classic “The Class Enemy”. Kim Harris' adaptation gives the story a new perspective: the play is performed by 10 strong young women, who create the intense atmosphere on stage.

The production follows a group of girls who experience frustration and desperation in a classroom where they feel abandoned by a system that doesn't see them. With no teachers or guidance in an everyday life that demands resistance and perseverance, the young women are left alone with their dreams and fears. The conflicts between them quickly become inevitable and they challenge each other's limits - both individually and as a group.

With the actors' powerful performances, “The Classroom” gives the audience a powerful experience of the pressures many young people experience in today's society. The performance raises questions about responsibility, trust and the struggle to find one's own identity.

Join us in an intense universe where boundaries are crossed and truths are challenged. ‘The Classroom’ gives a raw and honest voice to a new generation that demands to be heard.

Performance dates at Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium:
Friday 24 January at 19:00
Saturday 25 January at 15:00 and 19:00
