What happens when theater meets new technologies?
Spores is a European project that aims to do just that! Aware of the obvious differences between the two arts, our team wants to discover their amazing coincidences: it is Antonin Antonin Artaud himself, in his "the Theatre and its Double" who coined the term "Virtual Reality," a central technique in our "Elsewhere" experimentation.
Alice Occhiali and Valerio Peroni's show is about the parallel world in Norse folklore, the elsewhere inhabited by supernatural creatures. Thanks to the collaboration with the Italian digital company CarraroLab, viewers will be able to immerse themselves in the actors' magical worlds in virtual reality.
It is not about adding any digital elements to the play, but rather exploiting the actors' real world through technologies such as virtual reality visors.
