Join us for the extended Songwriters In A Box at Kedlen
On Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00 PM, you can experience three concerts and a reading at Kedlen in the middle of Holstebro! The artists for the evening are:
ASHTI ABDO
Where ancient sounds merge with echoes of the present.
A musical journey of cultural fusion, shaped by tradition, travel and a deeply rooted presence - even in Italy.
A concert that mixes Kurdish cultural heritage and modern soundscapes with traditional instruments from different cultures - a rich experience of sonic cross-pollination.
Ashti Abdo is a Kurdish musician who wants to convey stories from Kurdistan through music.
DINA REBEKKA
Dina Rebekka Kristensen is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter with West Zealand roots. Her main source of inspiration is her own feelings and experiences, conveyed in song through soft pop and the singer-songwriter genre. Dina Rebekka's music touches on many relevant youth topics such as love, identity, sexuality and mental health.
MAISE
MAISE is a Danish singer and songwriter from West Jutland. She writes contemporary songs about great emotions of life and, through honest and poetic lyrics, she invites the audience on a musical journey where personal experiences become universally recognisable. GAFFA described her music as “pop music that tastes of R&B in a slow tempo, where the easily recognisable vocals allow you to get lost in your dreams".
HJALTE BÆK ØSTERBY
Hjalte Bæk Østerby is an author, songwriter and musician from Skibbild-Nøvling. He expresses himself mostly through lyricism and poetry, but also works with fictional and biographical novels, both in Danish and English. His texts use lots of metaphors and philosophy, mixed with introspective glances at his own life. With a great love for the melancholic and dramatic, he inflates the small things in life to cosmic magnitudes. Without hiding details and truths, Hjalte's words provide a deep insight into the experience of being a young person in the 21st century; the cruel, the confusing and the beautiful.
The concert takes place at KEDLEN, Lægårdvej 12H, 7500 Holstebro.
The event is part of Holstebro Pride 2025.
The event is presented by Holstebro Music School and Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium. It is part of the K7 week, which is a national cultural program for young people that provides access to cultural experiences.
The bar is open, offers good prices and accepts Mobilepay.
NOTE: we recommend that you book tickets in good time due to the capacity at Kedlen.
