This is a performance in which vulnerability and sisterhood go hand in hand, moving through short narratives that affirm the women we are. The excitement of the journey imposes itself as a metaphor for life. Hope for what new paths have in store for us. Through a collection of shared memories and the expression of desires for the future, we review what we have made of the time we have lived until now and the much that lies ahead. This performance results from intergenerational community work over seven months, giving visibility to stories and fears and deconstructing prejudices related to ageing.
It involves the collaboration of the Centre of Art History and Artistic Research (CHAIA, University of Évora) and the Sociocultural Department – Youth and Sport (Évora City Council), Portugal, with the participation of older residents and students from visual arts and performance studies.
