The solo OBLIVION is a work in progress and been created whilst in residency at Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium. The work contains dramatic readings of new texts, musical compositions in collaboration with film composer Peter Kyed, and sequences of Butoh dance.

OBLIVION has a concert format and as a solo blends the evocative movements of Butoh dance with poetic texts and hauntingly existential songs. Lynch channels raw emotion through slow, expressive gestures, while the spoken word and melodies create a deeply introspective atmosphere.

Stuart Lynch is a Theatre Director, Writer, and Butoh dancer based in Copenhagen. He has led dance theatre companies in Denmark and Europe, was head of the 'Copenhagen Film and Theater School' from 2013 to 2023, and is currently Artist-In-Residence at the 'Literaturhaus' of Copenhagen. He is accredited Coach in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, was originally a student of dancer and actor, 'Min Tanaka' and is a teacher of Tanaka's technique of Butoh & Bodyweather.
