In the ring - Trapeze, textile, tumult

Welcome to a festive and exciting day of contemporary circus and art on the occasion of the special exhibition FABRICA: Saturday 5 October.

We invite you into the FABRICA universe for a very special experience at the art museum, where we have organised a day in the name of circus. Circus artists will bring the exhibition to life like a carnivalesque ring. The performers will add sound and body to the exhibition's works and scenography - which they emerge from, climb onto, ‘swim through’, merge into and become part of; the carnival that visual artist Eva Steen Christensen and Scenographer Nikolaj Danielsen have created in the exhibition space.

Circus performers and stage artists Signild Thygesen and Villads Bugge Bang and cellist and composer Sara Hilma Filippa Westerberg take over the FABRICA exhibition with a playful performance in the centre of art. CirkO, the circus school in Idom, will also visit the museum with a performance inspired by FABRICA's textile universe and folk tales.

Practical information

The event is free with paid admission. Remember that, as always, admission is free for children and young people under the age of 26 and members of the Friends of Holstebro Art Museum, including any accompanying person.

The performance lasts approx. 15 min. and will be performed three times during the day. Registration is required as places are limited.

It is not necessary to reserve a seat for CirkO's performances.
