HYPER SWITCH ULTRA FAGGOT is a music-dramatic portrait of gay masculinity. An invitation into the shameful space of unspoken desire, where language stops and the rubble takes over created by Teater Pytram.
An investigation into which mechanisms start in a person when they fall in love with what hurts the most. When gay trauma becomes contagious and shame turns into arrogance.
We meet our main character in a dirty basement of plywood walls, leather sofas and indefinable blobs of saliva, semen and faeces on the floor. The room where lasciviousness both flourishes and stinks. He tries to explain how beautiful it is. A love story emerges from the picturesque portrait. His great crush, who assaults, plunders, shouts.
Only when it is too late does he discover that the most beautiful thing he owns, his love, will also be his downfall. Love is gone and our main character transforms. The grief becomes so great that cruelty is the only solution — the question remains: did the strongest exist at all, or was it just an echo of himself?
Please be aware that the performance contains elaborate depictions of violence,
assault and sex.
