Fish After Dark on September 13, 2025 – A Magical Evening by the Harbour

When darkness descends on Thorsminde, the harbour comes to life in a magical interplay of light, sound and taste. Fish After Dark is a unique experience where the power of the sea and the raw beauty of nature meet art, fire and gastronomy.

Be enchanted by spectacular light installations and artistic stagings created by Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium, transforming the harbour into a sensuous universe of colours and shadows. Music and light merge and create an atmosphere where you can experience the soul of the harbour in a whole new way.

Bring your family and friends along to experience an atmospheric evening where light, fire and the flavours of the sea merge into magic.

Before the official opening of Fish After Dark, you can visit Strandingsmuseum St. George and take advantage of the great experiences before the event starts. On this day, you get a 20% discount* on adult tickets, and, as always, everyone under 18 gets free admission. Opening hours on event days are 10 AM - 5 PM

5:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Strandingsmuseum St. George

• Meet the shipwright from Hjerl Hede – get up close to the history and craftsmanship behind the great ships that once sailed the oceans. Watch the shipwright make nails and anchor chains.
• Cannonballs and sailor stories - How much does a real cannonball weigh? How many ships lie on the seabed off the west coast? And what was life at sea like during the Napoleonic Wars? Come and learn about our maritime past.

• Meet Joakim Okkels, who went to college to learn about traditional woodworking, which was the start of a life as an independent boat builder. Hear his many craft stories about the traditions of Nordic boats and ships.

6:10 PM – 9:00 PM - Local and maritime storytelling

• Meet Anders Leth Damgaard, a self-taught amber geek. Hear about how he uses amber as a window to the past.

6:15 PM – 7:00 PM – Live music with Marius Grønkær

• 1st show “Weightless” – A visual contemporary underwater experience about being weightless, staged with light and music.
