Meeting Point – Strengthening Artistic and Cultural Exchange Across Borders

The Meeting Point project, a collaborative initiative co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme, brings together artists, cultural workers, and communities from Denmark, Greece, Poland, Ukraine, and beyond to explore new forms of dialogue and creative expression. Led by DSI Swinging Europe (DK) in partnership with Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium (DK), Fabrica Athens (GR) and b’cause dance company (PL) the project fosters cross-border connections through workshops, performances, and interdisciplinary encounters.

A Successful First Year: Building Connections & Creativity

Since its kick-off in March 2024, Meeting Point has made significant strides in bridging artistic and cultural practices across borders. Highlights from the first year include:

• Engaging 33 artists in collaborative workshops, residencies, and public events.
• Premiering new artistic works developed through cross-disciplinary exchanges.
• Strengthening international networks with cultural institutions, independent artists, and local communities in Denmark, Greece, Poland and Ukraine.

The project has already demonstrated how shared creative spaces can inspire innovation and deepen cultural understanding—an achievement we are proud to build upon in the coming year.

Looking Ahead: Year Two and Beyond

As we enter the second year of Meeting Point, we are excited to expand our activities with:

• New collaborative residencies exploring themes of war, migration, identity, and belonging through collaborative performance.
• Public performances showcasing the results of artistic exchanges.

We extend our gratitude to all artists, partners, and participants who have contributed to the project’s success so far—and we warmly invite our new collaborators to join us in shaping the next chapter of Meeting Point.
