The body of the performance "Please don't cancel me" (working title) is the imprisoned relations between Belarus and Lithuania, in the war context of Ukraine and Russia. These relations are explored through the historical, political, geographical, social context of these states and the personal stories of Agniete and Igor.
Contextualizing these relationships, the artists choose the concept of collective responsibility and its expression in our society as the main theme of the work, as well as the fragile distance between the concepts of "nationalism" and "patriotism". How responsible are we for the influence of our country's political regime? How strong should we defend our country in order to protect it from the "enemy"?
With this piece, the performance team does not aim to try to resolve military or political conflicts or find answers between the extremes of the subject (white and black), but rather to turn to oneself in an intense political and philosophical reflection and ask if there is room for halftones during the conflict? To understand each other's otherness, to maintain personal values and beliefs without overshadowing the freedom of another individual?
Excerpt from the text used in the performance:
"I am responsible for this. I apologize for this. Please don't cancel me now.// Especially today - living in Western capitalist society, where everything is being copy-pasted, where all the national anthems are forgotten, I feel, I know, that my Lithuanian roots matter. A lot. And I have to nurture, save and protect them. // I am responsible for this. I apologize for this. Please don't cancel me now.// To save the unique national identity we need to believe in the importance of the collective nation spirit, which sometimes will not go along with the needs of other nations. // I am responsible for this. I apologize for this. Please don't cancel me now.//”

The showing takes place during the residency organized by Bora Bora Residency Centre and hosted by Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium, for the residency program Nordic Residency Exchange Program.
